At 16:24 hours this evening, Taunton Ladder 5 was activated for a Residential Fire in the Onondaga Hill Fire District. Initially dispatched as a Chimney Fire, the alarm was upgraded to a “Signal 99” as first arriving units had “Heavy Fire.” Taunton Ladder 5 (LT. Duck) and Car 1 (Chief Phelan) handled the alarm. Taunton units arrived and were tasked with suppression and overhaul, once the fire was deemed “under control.” Taunton units operated on scene for just under an hour and a half before returning to service.
