At 15:52 hours this afternoon, Taunton was activated for a reported fire in the Southwood Fire District. The alarm was immediately “99’d” as multiple units had smoke and fire showing from “miles away.” Taunton Engine 94 (FF Lawrence) responded on dispatch as the R.I.T. Taunton arrived 3rd due and was tasked with suppression efforts and then subsequently, overhaul efforts. Units operated on scene for just under 2 hours before returning to service.
