At 09:18 hours this morning, Taunton was activated for a possible Commercial Fire in the Fairmount Fire District.

Staffed in quarters, Taunton Engine 94 (LT. Cox) responded on dispatch, along with Car 1 (Chief Phelan) and Car 2 (D/C Harris).

Engine 94 arrived second due, securing a water supply on the “C” side of the building. Car 1 arrived and assumed the Operations role.

Units investigated a smoke condition and burning odor and confined the issue to an appliance in the back room. Utilities to the appliance were secured, before being turned over to the property representative.

Taunton units operated on scene for just over a half an hour before returning to service
