At 14:19 hours, Taunton Car 2 (DC Harris) and Engine 6 (Lt Williams), while staffed in quarters, were special requested mutual aid assistance to the LaFayette Fire & Ambulance Department for a reported residential structure fire in the 2000 block of Tully Farms Road. Upon arrival, Engine 6 personnel were assigned to ventilation and overhaul operations, while also assisting with water supply to support suppression efforts.
At 15:55 hours, shortly after clearing the LaFayette incident, Taunton Ladder 5 was dispatched on a mutual aid assignment to the Solvay Fire Department for a reported commercial structure fire on Onondaga Boulevard. Responding units included Car 1 (Chief Phelan), Car 2 (DC Harris), and Ladder 5 (FF Rudiger). Engine 6 (Lt Williams), while returning from the previous incident and traveling in the direction of the second alarm, advised and was added to the response.
Upon arrival, crews from Solvay and Taunton determined the incident to be a minor appliance fire. Fire personnel performed ventilation to remove smoke and ensure occupant safety. The situation was quickly brought under control, and all units returned to service shortly thereafter.
