At 13:11 hours this afternoon, Taunton Ladder 5 was activated for a possible Industrial Fire in the Solvay Fire District.

Ladder 5 (LT. Williams) responded on dispatch, along with Car 1 (Chief Phelan) and Car 2 (D/C Harris).

First arriving units encountered a small fire inside the building, contained to a few bails of cardboard. Units extinguished the same and “opened up” the bails to expose and suppress any hidden fire.

Taunton units operated on scene for approximately 30 minutes before returning to service.
